Tammy L. Phillips

Tammy L. Phillips, 56, of Munnsville, NY and formerly of Hamilton, NY, died on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Wynn Hospital, in Utica, NY.

Born on November 20, 1969, in Norwich, NY, Tammy was a daughter of the late Patricia Spurling and William Martin. Tammy graduated from Morrisville-Eaton Central Schools and worked for several years as a teacher’s assistant in North Syracuse. She enjoyed the outdoors, going for rides, puzzling, coloring, and drawing. Most of all, she loved her children, grandchildren, and giving her son-in-law a hard time for fun.

On August 19, 1991, Tammy married James R. Phillips, who predeceased her on May 9, 2014.

Tammy is survived by her children, Shelby Phillips (Andrew Allen), Chelsea Phillips, and Joshua Phillips; grandchildren, Maylin, Sophia, and Hazel; partner, Jamie Bankston; siblings, Christian Martin (Tiffany Sanders) and Joseph “Joby” (Brenda) Hardy; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Tammy’s life will be held at a future date.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the Wilson Funeral Home.
