Richard H. Warner

Richard H. Warner, 80, of Norwich, died on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at the Norwich Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Born on April 6, 1945, in DeRuyter, NY, Richard spent his childhood there and attended school in DeRuyter, where he played basketball. Following his schooling, he served in the United States Army from 1962-1965. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to the DeRuyter area. He later moved to Norwich, with his former wife, Eloise.

Throughout his life, Richard was a truck driver including driving for Great American Food Stores. He was an avid amateur radio operator, enjoyed talking with his family and friends, and loved his dog, “Buddy.”

Richard is survived by his children, Steve, Sandy, Rich, and Ashley; several grandchildren; and a sister, Mary.

To honor Richard’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Funeral arrangements were entrusted with the Wilson Funeral Home.
