Melissa M. Kennedy-Cleveland

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melissa (Dempsey) Kennedy-Cleveland, who left this world on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at the age of 68, surrounded by her family.

Melissa was a sassy, stubborn, free-spirited woman who lived life as full as possible. She loved to have a good time, bringing her delicious food, energy, and a little bit of boldness wherever she went. Her quick wit and unforgettable spirit made a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know her.

Melissa was preceded in death by her parents, Naomi (Sprague) and Edward Dempsey and husbands, Laurence “Larry” Kennedy and Robert “Butch” Cleveland.

She is survived by her loving children, Paula Crawford (Shane), Amber McMullen (Rielly), Meghan McMullen (Edgar), and Colleen McMullen; step-children, Shannon, Sarah, Erin, Michael, Joshua, Thomas and Courtney, Bobby, and Danny; “adopted” daughters, Jamie and Bonnie; many many cherished grandchildren and family members and friends who will miss her deeply.

A memorial reunion is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Millbrook Reservoir, New Berlin, NY.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted with the Wilson Funeral Home.
