Mary F. Niles

Mary F. Niles, 91, passed away after an extended illness on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Niles was born on May 3, 1934. She was predeceased by her husband, James (Jim) Niles who she married on April 12, 1969 at St. Bartholomew’s Church. She was the daughter of Onofrio and Mary (Caezza) D’Ambra and sister of Anthony T. D’Ambra. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Charles (Karen) D’Ambra of FL, Dr. Thomas (Constance) D’Ambra of FL, Dr. David (Robin) D’Ambra of MA, Teresa D’Ambra of NY, John (Sharon) D’Ambra of CT, and Mary (Andrew) Scarbrough of NC.

Mary was a lifelong resident of Norwich and a 1952 graduate of Norwich High School. She worked at NBT Bank for many years until her retirement. Mary was an active member of St. Bartholomew’s Church and did volunteer work after retiring for local events including the Chenango County Fair.

Friends and family are invited to call at the Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 20, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the Church of St. Bartholomew. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery.
