Jonathan A. Austin

Jonathan Andrew Austin, 59, was born healthy on June 12, 1960. A normal child, forming his first words at eight months old, he was a very happy, outgoing child loved by everybody. At about age 18 months, the Pertussis portion of his DPT shots caused permanent brain damage. For years Jon was lovingly cared for by Broome Developmental and the caring staff at his group home in Binghamton, NY. Lourdes Hospice lovingly cared for him in his last days. Jon died July 24, 2019, and is survived by his sister, brother, three nieces and nephews, and five great-nieces and -nephews.
