John B. Cuneo, Jr.

John B. Cuneo, Jr., 93, of Norwich, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at the New York State Veterans’ Home in Oxford, NY.

Born in Brooklyn, NY on December 25, 1931, John was the son of the late John Sr. and Josephine (Nicotra) Cuneo. He served honorably in the United States Army from 1952-1954. John then became a union representative and worked with selected parties for labor negotiations until his retirement when he relocated to Norwich. In his leisure time, John could be found playing golf or enjoying coffee with his friends at Deja Brew in Norwich.

On December 28, 1952, in Kings Park, NY. John married Dorothy Russeau, who predeceased him on August 27, 2015. He is survived by his son, John Cuneo III and his wife, Rossana, of Kings Park, NY; grandchildren, Kimberly Alt and her husband, Jeffrey, of Mastic, NY, and John Cuneo IV, of Erie, PA; great-grandchildren, Emmalyn Alt and Gianna Cuneo as well as nephews, Richard and Robert Freidrich and a niece, Susan Lundstrom.

Memorial services for John will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8, at the Wilson Funeral Home. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted with the Wilson Funeral Home.
