Gloria A. Bonter

Gloria A. Bonter, 84, of Harpursville, died on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.

Born on July 19, 1941, in Franklin, NJ, Gloria was a daughter of John and Ann Morgan. She grew up in Sussex County, New Jersey and attended school there. For several years, she found employment at a ShopRite Grocery Store before moving to North Carolina. Later in life, Gloria relocated to Tennessee where she worked as a welder at Lear Corporation in Morristown, TN.

After retirement, Gloria moved to upstate New York, and wintered in Florida. She enjoyed crocheting, making jewelry, and crafting.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Leonard Borter, Jr; son, Darwin Crum (Janice Birdsall), of Harpursville; daughter, Dawn (Vince) Jaragin, of Lewisville, TN; granddaughter, Lily Jaragin; and many cousins and friends she was close with.

To honor Gloria’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Funeral arrangements were entrusted with the Wilson Funeral Home.
