Edith Blumberg

Edith Blumberg, 91, of New Berlin, NY died peacefully on Friday, July 24, 2026 at the Mercy House in Endicott, NY where she has resided since February of this year.

Edith was born on January 30, 1935, in Jersey City, NJ and was a daughter of the late Leo and Ann (Green) Blumberg. Following her high school graduation, Edith attended Radcliffe College and later law school. She practiced in Manhattan from 1963 to 2003 and in Norwich from 2003 to 2018. She was a former member of the New York State Bar and a member of the Norwich Jewish Center.

In addition to her parents, Edith was predeceased by her siblings Alan Blumberg and Miriam Eisinger. She is survived by her niece, Dina Eisinger and her nephew, Ari Eisinger.

Edith’s family would like to express gratitude to the care given to Edith while in the care of both the Mercy House and the Hampshire House.

In keeping with Edith’s wishes, she was privately buried in her family plots in Mount Moriah Cemetery in Fairview, NJ.

Memorial contributions in memory of Edith may be made to the Mercy House, 212 North McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
