Douglas H. “Doug” Trask, 74, of Norwich, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 10, 2022.
Born on July 28, 1947, in Oneonta, Doug was the son of Louis E. and Virginia D. (Bliss) Trask, and was a graduate of Sherburne High School in 1965. Doug worked for Procter & Gamble for 50 years until his retirement in 2015. He enjoyed golfing with his son, playing pitch, watching baseball, tending to the lawn, bowling, and catching up with old friends at the local Legion, VFW, or Ontario. Doug will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, and most importantly the endless love he had for his family.
Doug is survived by his children, Shane (Teresa) Trask and Stacey Trask Golden; six grandchildren, Samantha Trask, Victoria Trask, Shane Trask Jr., Misty Golden, Megan (Ryan) Friscia, and Mark Golden; siblings, Howard (Deb) Trask, of Oneonta, Sandy (Robert) Myers, of Norwich, Arthur Trask, of Stamford, NY, Ed (Pam) Bliss, of Crawford, CO, Steve (Joyce) Bliss, of Norwich, and Fran (Richard) Baran, of Clarence Central, NY. He was predeceased by his son, Mark Trask, parents, Louis and Margery Trask, Ernest and Virginia Bliss, sister, Cheryl Law, and brothers, Charles (Mary) Trask and Charles Bliss.
A celebration of Doug’s life will be held at the Ontario Hotel, Norwich, NY, at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Please join his family and friends to honor his life.
