David C. Johnson

David C. Johnson, 31, of Oneonta, NY, died unexpectedly following complications with diabetes on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

He was born on May 23, 1995 in South Korea.

He is survived by his adopted parents, Drs. Bill and Lisa Johnson, of Edmeston; sister, Rebecca Johnson, of Edmeston; brother, Daniel Johnson, of Melbourne, FL; grandmother, Catherine Johnson, of Port Ewen, NY; uncles, Mark (Karen) Johnson, of Mechanicville, NY and Christopher (Allison) Wierzbicki, of Howard Beach, NY; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Earl Johnson and grandparents Frank and Virginia Wierzbicki.

Appreciation is given to all the emergency responders who were there on Tuesday.

A Mass of Christian Burial for David will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at the Church of St. Paul’s in Norwich. Family and friends are invited to call at the Wilson Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 22, from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in David’s memory may be made to a Catholic Charities of your choice.
