Daniel L. Faulkner

Daniel L. “Dan” Faulkner, 82, of Pharsalia, passed away on April 11, 2026 at Valley View Manor in Norwich, NY.

Daniel Faulkner, born July 7, 1943, in Syracuse, NY, was the son of Daniel B. and Katherine (Layton) Faulkner. He graduated from Nottingham High School and Ringling School of Art. Dan worked as a designer at Norwich Knitting Company and Champion Products, then at Commercial Art Supply and Marietta Corporation as a package designer and illustrator. He also freelanced with the Oneida Nation, using his art to represent Native American heritage.

Dan was a former member of the Ontario Hose Co., South Onondaga Fire Department, SAVES Ambulance, and Skaneateles Fire Department. A passionate collector of clocks and watches, skilled gunsmith, and versatile historian, Dan was also an active member of the Norwich Jewish Center, regularly participating in holidays, reading the Torah, and officiating funerals.

Daniel is survived by his son Jesse (Denise) Faulkner of Marcellus, NY; daughter Sarah (Max) Maddox; grandson David Maddox of NC; granddaughters Meghan and Lauryn Faulkner of Marcellus, NY. He was predeceased by his sister Gail (Lin) Schuldt of FL.

Daniel’s public graveside service is at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 in the Jewish Section of Mt. Hope Cemetery, Norwich, NY.
