Ursula May Sutton

February 21, 1984 — October 22, 2020

Ursula May Sutton, 36, a Norwich native, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, October 22, 2020.

Born on February 21, 1984, in Norwich, Ursula was the daughter Barry Sutton and Sunday Brown. Barry died on September 19, 2009. She graduated from Norwich High School with the Class of 2002, then completed some coursework at Broome Community College. Ursula worked for a time at Wilson Hospital, in Johnson City, and Fitzie’s Irish Pub, in Binghamton. For most of her working life, Ursula worked at the Binghamton Club, and became a manager there.

Ursula adored her dogs, Stella and Dude, and could often be found walking them around the city of Norwich. She also had many close friends with whom she would have many special and happy times. She was a movie buff and had an uncanny ability to be able to name actors and actresses, whether they were popular or obscure. Though she was quiet by nature, Ursula had great timing when offering her sarcastic wit. Ursula was also talented with arts and crafts, including the many that decorated her home.

Ursula is survived by her mother, Sunday, and her brothers, Isaiah and Ian Sutton, each of Norwich. She is also survived by her niece, Ada, and nephew, Elias, and several cousins, uncles, and aunts.

Friends are invited to call at the Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, from 6:00 – 8:00, where guests may share memories with Ursula’s family. A celebration of Ursula’s life will be celebrated at a later date and burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
