Richard P. Lapuszynski

Richard P. “Rick” Lapuszynski, 70, of Otselic, passed away at his residence on Friday, February 4, 2022. Born on November 14, 1951, in Norwich, Rick was the son of Charles and Norma (Schraft) Lapuszynski. Rick was a kind man and loved by those that knew him. He graduated from South Otselic High School in 1971, and took auto body courses at BOCES while in high school. Rick enjoyed riding motorcycles, and did so for many years. He had a passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles and vintage cars and trucks. Rick was employed at various trucking companies over the years as well as the railroad.

Rick is survived by his two sons, Jesse and Ricky Lapuszynski, and his two grandsons, Jamie and Wayne Lapuszynski. He leaves behind three sisters, Carol Spann, of Otselic, Wendi Stone, of Sherburne, and Sharlene Crossway, of Texas. Rick was predeceased by his mother, Norma, his father, Charles, and brother, Fritz Lapuszynski. He also leaves behind his loyal longtime companion, Spike, his Chihuahua dog, which was also his best friend. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws also survive.

At Rick’s request, there will no funeral service or calling hours. A celebration of Rick’s life will take place during the summer of 2022.
