Lorraine Caesar

Lorraine B. “Lorie” Caesar, 56, of South New Berlin, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at the Van Duyn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Syracuse. She fought a long battle with cancer.

Born May 21, 1960 in Johnson City, Lorie was the daughter of Lawrence and Barbara (Merrill) Porada. She graduated from Johnson City High School and then from business school in New York City. She then became a licensed electrologist and later worked for several years at the Chenango County SPCA.

Lorie loved animals and was a “parent” to three dogs, a cat and three birds.

On December 31, 1991, Lorie married Douglas R. Caesar, of Chenango Lake, who survives. She is also survived by two sons, Lucas Caesar, of Chenango Lake and Jacob Lamberg, of North Norwich. Two brothers also survive, Joseph Porada, living in Maine and Keith Porada, of Tyner, NY. Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by two sons, Joshua and Matthew Lamberg.

A Funeral Mass for Lorie will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at St. Paul’s Church with Rev. Ralph Bove, pastor, officiating. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery at a later date.
