Dawn A. Mazzole

Dawn A. Mazzole, 69, of Norwich, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 at Norwich Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Born on May 16, 1953, in Norwich, Dawn was the daughter of James and Patsy (Baker) Golden. After traveling the U.S. and living in Maryland as a waitress, she returned to the Norwich area and started a family and worked at the Norwich Shoe Company. She returned to school and started working as a licensed practical nurse at Chenango Memorial Hospital. She worked at the hospital for 25 years before retiring in 2015. She was talented at making crafts and other handmade items such as folk art chalkware and hand sewn teddy bears and dolls. She had a wonderful sense of humor and left a lasting impact on her friends and family.

Dawn is survived by her daughters, Nicole Sutton and Angela Mazzole, each of Norwich; father and stepmother, James and Carol Golden, of South New Berlin; grandchildren, Ada and Elias Sutton, and Auriel Hawley; and siblings, Sharon Migonis, Doris Excell, Gene Day, and Mike Golden. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her daughter, Maya Mansmith, and grandson, Soloman Mazzole.

Friends are invited to call at the Wilson Funeral Home on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. There will be no funeral service.
