Colleen Deady

Colleen I. Deady, of Norwich, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Tuesday, March 7, 2017. She was 67 years old.

Colleen was a native of Norwich, graduated from Norwich High School, and most recently worked at DCMO BOCES, in Norwich. At BOCES, she took great pride in helping nursing students obtain financing for their education, and enjoyed supporting her students as they continued their studies. She also made it a priority to attend students’ graduations.

Colleen also very much enjoyed photography, and was skilled at capturing beautiful images at weddings and other special celebrations of her family and friends. She also captured beautiful scenes during her travels. Her most favorite location to photograph was in and around the state of Maine.

Colleen was also a talented gardener, a collector of memorabilia, and was a devoted Kansas City Chiefs football fan. She also adored the many cats she raised over the years.

Colleen is survived by her siblings Barbara (Ron) Rabatsky, of CA, Richard (Jo Ann) Deady, of Norwich, and Michael (Vicki) Deady, of Fairport, NY; nieces and nephews, Kristin (Scott Griffin) Deady, Ryan (Bailey) Deady, Nicholas Deady, Matt Deady, Scott Deady, and Allison Deady. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

A private graveside service for Colleen will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery in the spring. There will be no calling hours.
