Carol A. Eichler

August 2, 1952 — June 8, 2023

Carol A. Eichler, 70, a lifelong resident of Norwich, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital.

Born on August 2, 1952, at Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich, Carol was the daughter of the late Norman and Sally (Tomsic) Money, Sr. She graduated from Norwich High School in

1970, where she was their class treasurer. She later earned her Associates Degree from the SUNY Morrisville in Norwich. Carol worked for the Blue Bird Restaurant as a waitress for twenty-one years. She also worked locally as a baker. She later established and operated a New York State licensed daycare in her home caring for hundreds of local children during her career. Most recently, Carol owned Whispering Pines Bakery for twenty-five years and could be seen at local markets selling her baked goods and jams.

Carol loved flowers, attending concerts, crafting, dancing and singing, especially to Elvis. She made many tie-dye and tied blankets that she sold at local flea markets. Carol and her dear

friend, Terry Frair, could often be found at the casino, something they did together for years. Most of all, she loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother including raising her grandson,

Drayden.

On June 11, 1986, Carol married Daniel Eichler, of Norwich, who survives. Together, they cherished each other and stuck together through thick and thin.

Carol is also survived by her children, Jason Haynes, of Pittsfield, Daniel (Christina) Haynes of Tampa Bay FL, Jennifer Eichler, of Greene, Daniel II (Amy), of Sherburne, Sarah (Jeffy) Daly, of Gloucester, VA, and Zachary (Joanna Moon) Eichler, of McGraw; grandchildren, Dalton Haynes, Addison Haynes, Emerie Callan, Liam Callan, Tanner Eichler, Natalie Eichler, Lucas Eichler, Oliver Eichler, Dexter Daly, Sullivan Daly, Elora Daly, Drayden Eichler, Dillon Eichler, Dakota Eichler, Lena Eichler; and brother, Jimmy (Bev) Money, of Oxford. She was predeceased by her grandson, Landon John Eichler and her brother, Norman Money, Jr.

Friends are invited to call at the Calvary Baptist Church, 75 Calvary Drive, Norwich, on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. A funeral service for Carol will be held at 6:00 p.m. wherepastor, Joel Weck, will officiate. Carol loved colorful and floral prints, so please no black, but instead wear something bright and cheerful.
